Maestro Espada is the musical project of the Murcia brothers Alejandro and Víctor Hernández, who, after a lifetime of sharing artistic tastes and references, in 2022 decided to create an unprecedented band in our country that delves into the musical tradition of Murcia not as a relic, but as a source of inspiration, to create a unique live set where “castañetas” meet electric guitars and lutes meet synthesizers.
Two voices who grew up singing together and who are now revisiting one of the most ignored folklores in Spain, transiting the local accent of the “cuadrillas” with an avant-garde horizon and moving with great sensitivity between memory and imagination.
Maestro Espada released two singles in 2022, “Estrellica” and “Murciana”, which have accumulated more than 700,000 listens on Spotify and will be included in their first album, which will be released next autumn and will be produced by Raül Refree. In addition, they are already preparing what will be their next live show, a delicate sound and visual journey, brilliant, special and unrepeatable that they will bring all over the state.
